I use Flavour Drum Annatto Seeds in my kitchen for colouring rice, stews and flavouring oil. The seeds are fresh, bright red‑orange, no dull or broken pieces. When I fry in oil, the colour releases evenly without burnt smell. Very strong, so only small spoon needed for a whole pot. It gives beautiful golden colour to biryani and light earthy aroma. I compared with local market seeds, this one clearly better cleaner and more vibrant. The resealable pack keeps them dry and fresh for weeks. Price is fine for the quality and quantity. I will keep buying this brand.
Apart from colour, these seeds give very mild earthy aroma to dishes.
Soak seeds in warm water, colour transfers well for curries.
